1 Information We Collect

TripLedger operates entirely offline. The app collects and stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Trip details — name, destination, start and end dates, member count, budget
• Expense entries — title, amount, category, date, and optional notes
• Category information — custom names, icons, and colours you create
• Profile information — name, email, and profile photo you optionally add
• App preferences — theme mode (light/dark/system) and preferred currency
• Cover photos — images you choose from your photo library for trip cards

2 How We Use Your Information

All data collected by TripLedger is used exclusively to provide the app's features:

• Displaying your trips, expenses, and budget summaries
• Generating analytics and spending insights within the app
• Personalising the app experience (theme, currency, profile)
• Showing your travel badges and journey milestones

We do not use your data for advertising, analytics platforms, machine learning, or any purpose beyond rendering the app on your screen.

3 Data Storage & Security

All app data is stored locally using encrypted on-device storage (MMKV). No account creation is required, and no internet connection is needed to use TripLedger.

Data is retained until you manually delete a trip or uninstall the application. Uninstalling TripLedger permanently removes all locally stored data from your device.

4 Device Permissions

TripLedger requests the following permissions solely to enable specific features:

All permissions are optional. You can use TripLedger fully without granting either permission. Permissions can be revoked at any time via your device Settings.

5 Third-Party Services

TripLedger does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, crash-reporting services, or social login providers.

The app is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple may collect certain aggregated, anonymised usage statistics as part of their standard App Store operations. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for details.

6 Children's Privacy

TripLedger is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because all data is stored locally on your device and we cannot access it, we have no means of identifying or removing data related to any particular user.

7 Data Deletion

You have full control over your data at all times:

• Delete individual expenses or trips directly within the app
• Remove your profile photo or personal details from the Profile screen
• Uninstall TripLedger to erase all app data from your device permanently

Because data never leaves your device, there is no server-side data to request deletion of. All data removal is instant and complete upon deletion or uninstall.

8 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

Continued use of TripLedger after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
